TMJ Joint Disorders

Temporomandibular joint and muscle disorders, commonly called “TMJ,” are a group of conditions that cause pain and dysfunction in the jaw joint and the muscles that control jaw movement.

TMJ Disorders could be due to the following factors :

1. Trauma 2. Bad Bite – Clenching, Grinding of teeth 3. Hormonal 4. Genetic

Dental splints are made available to our patients for severe or recurrent cases with disc displacement.

Injections of tender muscles, trigger areas, and/or joint spaces with local anesthetic solution is used for diagnosis and relief of symptoms.

We also provide alternate means of provide Corticosteroid injection can be effective in reducing severe inflammation to eliminate muscle spasm and reduce strength of contraction.
